Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTÜ) Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Kerem Teralı, the prestigious magazine published by the world-famous Nature group, Scientific Reports, was accepted to the Editorial Board as a new member in the field of chemical biology.
Stating that chemical biology allows us to understand biological processes with chemical tools and enables us to examine the basic mechanisms of life at the molecular level, Prof. Dr. Teralı said:
“This discipline is of great importance, especially in drug development, biotechnology, and the treatment of diseases. Thanks to the tools provided by chemical biology, we develop new perspectives on the functioning of biological systems and produce solution-oriented approaches to human health. Providing scientific contributions in this field is a great responsibility and also an exciting opportunity for me.”
Scientific Reports, as a multidisciplinary journal covering a wide range of scientific studies, including natural sciences, psychology, medicine, and engineering, provides its authors with a highly reputable platform. It is the 5th most cited journal in the world, with more than 734,000 citations in 2023.
